Project Kontaminazioni 2010

Teachers and students from the Secondary School in Castronno gave life to a project entitled "Kontaminazione-The students encounter Pietro Scampini the artist". The project lasted five months and had partecipation of all six classes of the school. After having visited Pietro's atelier, each class selected a style (Ombre, Muse, Forme, Enigmi, Composizioni, Sculptures Pietro Scampini +Ndebele) and with the help of their teachers the students tried to understand and deepen their knowledge. The project came to an end of 5th 2010 at the school and at this moment family members and friends were invited to listen to the students discuss the work they carried out and then they presented their sculpture with Pietro had taken to school for the event. The outcome of this project is conteined in a small booklets wich were created by the student and entitled "Pietro Scampini's Art according to us". The first part of the booklets contains the theories behind certain sculpture and the second part contains the impressions documented by the students. Each part involved commented the positive experience brought forth by this experience. For the Scholastic Institution it was a way to relate to territory, for the students it was an opportunity to discover another form of expression and communication, whilst for Pietro it was an experience that enriched him on an interpersonal level.
